For a workspace that uses EMF I'm referencing EMF in my Eclipse installation via a "link" folder.
This setup worked without problems with M7.
In RC1 I experience a problem when double clicking Java files in the Package Explorer: in M7 the Java
editor opens. In RC1 the EMF "Java Model Editor" opens.

It seems that the "Java Model Editor" becomes the default editor in RC1.
This regression from M7 makes using EMF pretty painful.

This is a consequence of the decisions made to close bug 91966. We weren't planning on revisiting this
for 3.1 as the solution wouldn't be very safe but please take it up with Michael if you'd like to see it
reopened.

I'm just curious: what makes the "Java Model Editor" (which I never used), the *default* editor for Java files?
Is it random? Is it a Mac problem :-)
See attached screenshot.
