Unable to print from Eclipse (print option and icon are grayed our). We can 
print from other tools on the machine.  How do we configure printers settings 
for Eclipse with Linux.

Printing is not supported on Linux-GTK.  It is supported on Linux-Motif using
XPrint.  See bug 24796 for more information on the GTK+ situation.

You can also use the External Tools feature of eclipse to print using lpr or
another printing utility.  See:
