Description Jeffrey Liu CLA 2005-05-17 23:19:50 EDT
Performance: Server view is leaking memory

Scenario:
I have 3 Tomcat 5.0.28 server created. Shutdown down workspace and restart it
in profiling mode (using TPTP). Open server view and close it down (repeat
this a few times). Check the # of live instances of server view objects,
notice it's more than 1, none of the "old" server view objects are collected.

Hi,

Do you happen to remember that actual class that was being leaked? Was it the
actual view class, ServersView, or something else?
Comment 2 Jeffrey Liu CLA 2005-05-19 09:51:53 EDT
Hi Tim,

It was the ServerView + the stuffs that it pulls in. Btw, I was using TPTP to
profile.

Hi Jeff,

I've tried a couple of times to reproduce this in my development environment,
but can't. The bad reference that we saw on your machine never gets created, so
I'm not sure if I'm doing something different, or it was already fixed. Do you
still have TPTP installed on your machine, or can you help me configure it on mine?
Comment 4 Tim deBoer CLA 2005-07-12 09:52:24 EDT
Hi Jeff - just waiting for a response to the last post. I can't reproduce it
locally, so I either need some help to setup TPTP or confirmation that it is
already fixed.
Comment 5 Tim deBoer CLA 2005-12-13 10:25:34 EST
Closing old bugs that haven't had any activity in a long time.
Comment 6 John Lanuti CLA 2007-07-30 11:13:21 EDT
Reopening, in order to put into a valid closed state as remind is now deprecated, and closed, remind, does not make much sense.
Comment 7 John Lanuti CLA 2007-07-30 11:17:52 EDT
Resolving as won't fix, as these had previously been closed out, if this is incorrect, please provide more data and reopen.

Thanks,
Comment 8 John Lanuti CLA 2007-07-30 11:19:30 EDT
Re-closing appropriately with valid state.
