Description Tom Hofmann CLA 2005-05-11 10:31:45 EDT
I20050509-2000 (M7 test pass)

I find it awkhard that, when inside a view, Ctrl+F4 closes the current editor
instead of the current view.

Note that for No-Mouse operation, the only way to close a view is to
press <Alt+-, C>.
Comment 1 Nick Edgar CLA 2005-05-11 11:28:15 EDT
The binding to close the active editors should not be overridden to apply to the
active view. Editors are opened and closed much more frequently than views, and
users should be able to close the frontmost editor even if a view is active.
I often do this myself (though using Ctrl+W, not Crl+F4, but these are both
bindings to the Close Editor command).
For keyboard navigation Alt+-, C is not unreasonable to close views.
Comment 2 Tom Hofmann CLA 2005-05-11 11:46:49 EDT
We should offer a command for 'Close View' so the user can assign a key binding
as he sees fit, then.

Well, then....
