Somehow, I got in a state where the Error Log view does not show the (first)
'Message' column any more. I did not find a way to restore the column under GTK.

When I manually change the key 'column1' to 'column2' in the prefs file, the
column reappears.

This is the original prefs file:

this is a good one.  what's the estimated age of your workspace?

Hm, I don't really know. It's the workspace on our build machine. I guess it's
been created just after the 3.0 release.

Thanks.  good enough.  I wanted to see if the workspace were created before 
the log view moved to the new Tree with columns implementation (<=3.1M5), and 
it certainly appears so.
