Build: I20050405

Select a reasonably large project, and compare with a different version in the
repository.

As soon as the compare starts, the synchronized view contains the text "No
changes in 'CVS compare HEAD v20050404'"

This is misleading, since the compare has just started running.  If I don't
notice the progress animation is still going, I might think there are no
changes.  Instead it should contain text like "Searching for changes..." until a
real result can be displayed (or until the job completes).
