org.eclipse.swt.carbon_3.0.2.jar seems to be missing
There is no jar called org.eclipse.swt.carbon_3.0.2.jar in 3.0.2. The swt contribution to 3.0.2 should look like this: plugins/org.eclipse.swt_3.0.2/ should contain: about.html plugin.properties plugin.xml META-INF/Manifest.mf plugins/org.eclipse.swt.carbon_3.0.2/ should contain: about.html epl-v10.html fragment.properties fragment.xml META-INF/Manifest.mf ws/carbon/swt.jar ws/carbon/swt-pi.jar os/maocosx/ppc/libswt-carbon-3064.jnilib os/maocosx/ppc/libswt-pi-carbon-3064.jnilib os/maocosx/ppc/libswt-webkit-carbon-3064.jnilib
I was able to duplicate this problem. The updatre error messages are: Unable to complete action for feature "Eclipse Project SDK" due to errors. Unable to complete action for feature "Eclipse Platform" due to errors. Unable to retrieve remote reference "http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0/plugins/org.eclipse.swt.carbon_3.0.2.jar". Moving to the update team. I believe SWT has correctly configured the swt plugins and fragments for 3.0.2. All version ids are changed to 3.0.2. I do not know how the update team configures the fragments for downloading. There is no org.eclipse.swt.carbon_3.0.2.jar as far as I am aware - where is this coming from?
Veronika, it looks like the org.eclipse.platform feature in 3.0 contains this entry: <plugin id="org.eclipse.swt.carbon" download-size="0" install-size="0" version="3.0.2" fragment="true" os="macosx" ws="carbon" /> Update tries to download that plugin (fragment) and cannot find it.
Why can't update find it? It is part of the 3.0.2 build. Do you have trouble dealing with the tar.gz format of the download (all other platforms are zip)?
I too am having this problem. To answer your question Veronica, I'm not sure. But if you try and hit http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0/plugins/org.eclipse.swt.carbon_3.0.2.jar, you get a 404. The jar is not out there and update is failing for any Mac OS X update. I don't think this has anything to do with tar.gz or zip archives.

On a closer inspection of my currently installled version (3.0.1), I find that there is acatually a org.eclipse.swt.carbon_3.0.1.jar present . This leads me to believe that the corresponding file was inadvertently left out of the 3.0.2 distribution. Can anyone confirm this?

It _is_ in the download (eclipse-SDK-3.0.2-macosx-carbon.tar) though... So it has probably just been left out of the update site.
Kim said she will investigate to find out why the carbon jar is not on the 3.0.2 update site.

The jar is there now. I was out of the office, thus the delay.

I can verify that it works for me now.
