Description Joachim Molkow CLA 2002-01-31 12:07:42 EST
Packages can be renamed and the contained classes are moved to the new package.
This is not possible for the default package but should be possible for
consistency.
Comment 1 Erich Gamma CLA 2002-01-31 18:05:00 EST
The default package has no name and always exists. Renaming it isn't
appropriate. The model should be to move the contents of the default package
somewhere else. Unless you have stronger arguments I opt to defer.
Comment 2 Dirk Baeumer CLA 2002-07-25 05:50:40 EDT
As Erich said you can't rename the default package.

Comment 3 Dirk Baeumer CLA 2002-07-25 05:51:05 EDT
Will not be fixed for 2.x or 3.x
