Description Shawn Garner CLA 2005-03-18 10:27:25 EST
I have an existing project with struts tags in jsp pages. I just upgraded my
eclipse to
the version bundled with web tools.

When there is a
<bean:define id="car_name" type="String"><bean:message
key="some.key.value"/></bean:define>

then later I go to use the id in jsp and it eclipse marks it as an error
saying "car_name can not be resolved"

<%

String  aCarName = car_name;

%>

The page works fine and I just think it is an IDE issue.

This was fixed for M5 (vars decared by custom tags).
Comment 2 David Williams CLA 2006-03-04 01:04:39 EST
This change is a bulk update of all _un_targeted, fixed, resolved bugs upon release of M5. This particular bug _might_ have been fixed earlier than M5. (Feel free to correct).

Downloaded the new version of WTP bundled with Eclipse SDK 3.2 (	wtp-all-in-one-sdk-R-1.5.0-200606281455-win32.zip) and upgraded to the newest WTP via the update manager.

I'm still seeing same problem.

Are there any setting configurations that go along with the fix to this problem?

Shawn

This is part of a mass update to close out all stale WTP resolved bugs from the 1.0.x and 1.5.0 timeframe. If you feel this bug was closed inappropriately, please reopen.

Thanks, John Lanuti
