Description Thorbjørn Ravn Andersen CLA 2005-03-14 03:28:01 EST
Once in a while I need to open a rarely used view, and if I do not remember (or
can figure out) which logical group it belongs to I must open all categories.

It would be nice with an ungrouped but sorted list, so I can just scroll to i.e.
Package Explorer.

What if you had the kind of typeahead support you see in the prefs page (Window
> Prefences) and/or the Quick Type Hierarchy (Ctrl+T) command?
Comment 2 Thorbjørn Ravn Andersen CLA 2005-03-15 09:49:17 EST
I do not think that Ctrl-T would be of any help (unless I misunderstand what you
are talking about) since the basic issue is navigating to something where you
are uncertain about the context.

However, the type ahead support you mention (I guess it is the box at the upper
left) looks like it would be a good solution. Would it be hard to implement?

(And while you are at it, it needs a "Collapse tree" button if a string is typed
and then removed again).

Looks like comment 1 has been implemented recently.
