Description David W Hare CLA 2005-03-09 10:28:34 EST
On the menu bar from the main Workbench panel, click Window > Open Perspective >
Other

Select CVS Repository Exploring and click OK

Click Add CVS Repository

Put tvt in the necessary fields

Click Finish. Click yes on Unable to validate message

Right click on > New > Date Tag

The date format is always Month/Day/Year. This is an incorrect format for most
countries, as some use Year/Month/Day or Day/Month/Year, etc...

See screenshot.

If this were to be solved, I think it would best be solved in a place that was
reusable by others. Assigning to UI (although SWT may be a more appropriate
place).
Comment 3 Tod Creasey CLA 2005-03-09 15:13:34 EST
Michael are you using java API or are you rolling your own? i.e.
java.util.getDate().toString()
Comment 4 Tod Creasey CLA 2005-03-14 09:46:56 EST
Michael tells me they are doing thier own. As we do not use date settings in the
workbench currently we have no plans for providing a reusable component at this
time.

Copying Steve since the logical place for a Date widget may be SWT. Do you
have any thoughts on this Steve?
Comment 7 Steve Northover CLA 2005-08-05 19:30:09 EDT
There have been requests for a date widget in the past but it has been low
priority.
Comment 8 Tod Creasey CLA 2005-08-12 14:12:14 EDT
This will not be addressed in the 3.1.1 stream.
Comment 9 Karice McIntyre CLA 2005-08-15 15:43:26 EDT
The month, day and year combos will always be in the same position no matter
what the locale so the label is never incorrect. This defect appears to be a
duplicate of bug 19945 which is a feature request that will hopefully be
addressed in 3.2, due to popular demand.
