Description Ed Willink CLA 2005-02-25 02:06:34 EST
I have many versions of Eclipse and many versions of many third party plug-ins.
I keep them in separate extension locations. Adding them to an Eclipse
configuration one by one is a pain.

a) Please support drag+drop of one/more existing extension location onto the
Product Configuration panel.

b) Please support a multi-select browser for "Add an Extension Location", and
please try to rememeber where the last one was for next time.

This is a mass update of Platform Update bugs that have had no activity in three years. Platform Update was replaced in Eclipse 3.4 (2008) by a new provisioning system called Equinox p2. If this bug or enhancement is not already addressed in p2 please enter a new bug report against p2 (RT > Equinox > p2). If you still want to see this bug addressed in the deprecated Platform Update component, please reopen this bug. Patches welcome.

This is still a problem with p2.

If I've downloaded many ZIP archives to avoid repeated downloads for multiple installations, I have to add each archive one at a time.

It would be nice to

a) Drag and drop multiple ZIPs from e.g. Windows Explorer

b) Multi-select multiple ZIPs within Add Archive

c) Multi-select sites to work with
