EMF should provide plug-ins that allow an XMLMap to be created from an 
Ecore2Ecore mapping and saved to disk. This information can then be used as an 
input to a specialized ExtendedMetaData implementation to perform a model-to-
model mapping/transformation "on the fly" during load. Combined with resource 
pre/post processors, this could be used as the basis for migration of data 
between different versions of a given EMF-based model.
