Description Emad Al-Agouz CLA 2005-01-17 04:29:24 EST
Tested on Win2K Arabic default locale, Version:3.1.0 Build id: I20050111-1300
with Arabic Translation Fragments and launched with rtl direction.

-Select window>Open perspective>Resource menu item
-Select the File>new>project menu item
-Select the project wizard from the Simple category and press next button
-Enter a name for the project and press Finish
Select the project you created in the Navigator view and select File>new>other
menu item
-Select UML2Model wizard from the Example EMF Model Creation Wizard category
and press next
-Observe that the UML editor is LTR oriented

Please make it RTL oriented
Comment 1 Kenn Hussey CLA 2005-01-20 11:53:52 EST
Orientation of the UML2 editor is being hardcoded to LTR by
org.eclipse.ui.part.EditorPart#getOrientation().

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 82951 ***
Comment 2 Kenn Hussey CLA 2005-01-21 12:41:27 EST
Based on the discussion in bug 82947, it seems unlikely that the platform will
change the default implementation of
org.eclipse.ui.part.EditorPart#getOrientation(), so this will have to be
overridden explicitly in the UML2 editor.
Comment 3 Kenn Hussey CLA 2005-01-27 13:47:35 EST
This is fixed in build I200501271034.
Comment 4 Emad Al-Agouz CLA 2005-02-09 03:51:27 EST
Tested on Eclipse Build-id: N20050207-0010, and the same problem is still
there...
See the attached image for more details...

Comment 6 Steven Wasleski CLA 2005-02-09 08:54:42 EST
Emad, you mention an Eclipse platform build level in comment 4 but not a UML2
build level. What was your UML2 build level when you retested. Perhaps you
did not have one recent enough to have the fix.
Comment 7 Kenn Hussey CLA 2005-02-09 11:39:20 EST
Please ensure that you are using 1.1 build I200501271034 or later and that you
have launched with -dir rtl.
Comment 8 Emad Al-Agouz CLA 2005-02-14 08:55:09 EST
Tested on build id I20050209-0800 with UML2 SDK-1.1M2 with the Eclipse
launched with -dir rtl....
The Uml editor is still LTR mirrored...
Comment 9 Steven Wasleski CLA 2005-02-14 09:57:04 EST
Emad, if I am reading the UML2 download page correctly, UML2 M2 (your comment
8) was back in December. The build Kenn pointed to in comment 7 was from late
January. You need to test with one of the latest UML2 integration, 'I',
builds.
