Tested on Win2K Arabic default locale, Version:3.1.0 Build id: I20050111-1300 with Arabic Translation Fragments and launched with rtl direction. -Select window>Open perspective>Resource menu item -Select the File>new>project menu item -Select the project wizard from the Simple category and press next button -Enter a name for the project and press Finish Select the project you created in the Navigator view and select File>new>other menu item -Select UML2Model wizard from the Example EMF Model Creation Wizard category and press next -Observe that the UML editor is LTR oriented Please make it RTL oriented
Orientation of the UML2 editor is being hardcoded to LTR by org.eclipse.ui.part.EditorPart#getOrientation(). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 82951 ***
Based on the discussion in bug 82947, it seems unlikely that the platform will change the default implementation of org.eclipse.ui.part.EditorPart#getOrientation(), so this will have to be overridden explicitly in the UML2 editor.
This is fixed in build I200501271034.
Tested on Eclipse Build-id: N20050207-0010, and the same problem is still there... See the attached image for more details...
Created attachment 17777 [details] The UML2Editor is not RTL mirrored
Emad, you mention an Eclipse platform build level in comment 4 but not a UML2 build level. What was your UML2 build level when you retested. Perhaps you did not have one recent enough to have the fix.
Please ensure that you are using 1.1 build I200501271034 or later and that you have launched with -dir rtl.
Tested on build id I20050209-0800 with UML2 SDK-1.1M2 with the Eclipse launched with -dir rtl.... The Uml editor is still LTR mirrored...
Emad, if I am reading the UML2 download page correctly, UML2 M2 (your comment 8) was back in December. The build Kenn pointed to in comment 7 was from late January. You need to test with one of the latest UML2 integration, 'I', builds.
Verified....Thank you
