hello,
I would suggest in the plugin file editor, section "extensions" to add a combo
box in the "category" field of the view extension element detail form. This
combo should be preset with the all the categories already defined in eclipse
plus the one which could be defined just above the view in the "entension" subpane

Wassim, any idea what the request here entails?

From the request it seems like the user desires another way to access what can be added to a specific element.
