If you modify a preference and then go back into the preferences dialog it would be more intuitive if the user was returned to the last preference edited. This mode of operation would be similar to other tools (i.e. Excel, Powerpoint, Word) which remember the last page visited in Options and Customize. To Reproduce: 1. In WSWB, Select Window->Preferences->Workbench->Appearance 2. Click OK 3. Select Window->Preferences Result: Back at starting window and would need to select Workbench->Appearance Desired Result: The preferences view opens the second time at Workbench->Appearance.
Still a problem. Should fix in 2.0. This is particularly awkward for keyboard users.
Selection should also be saved across sessions, being careful to handle case where page is no longer there on restart. Should also save expanded state, but this needs only to be preserved for the same session.
Likewise for properties dialog.
