Description Ines Khelifi CLA 2004-09-22 16:00:19 EDT
I am using Build id: 200409212000 on Mac OS 10.3.5.

Steps to reproduce:
- Open a text (or java file)
- Press Apple + L in the file

Notice that the "Go To Line" dialog clearly shows that 2 text fields were used
to make the dialog. On Windows, the second field is evident if you press "Tab"
while the cursor is in the first text field. The cursor will move to the second
field. It's a little misleading since it looks to be editable.

This is minor, but looks obvious on the Mac platform.

I just realized the second text field is used for error messages :) Why is it a
text field and not a label?
Comment 2 Dani Megert CLA 2004-09-23 03:47:50 EDT
The GotoLineDialog inherits from InputDialog which uses a Text widget for the
error message. The reason why it's not a Label is most likely to allow users to
copy the error message. You'd have to ask someone from Platform UI for more
details about this.
