Description James Ciesielski CLA 2004-09-01 16:08:56 EDT
When installing a plug-in via the update manager, the Free Space and Required
Space fields are zeroed out. Shouldn't they display their respective values
appropriately?
Comment 1 Dorian Birsan CLA 2004-09-07 21:49:17 EDT
The Required Space is unknown becase the feature.xml does not define the space
it needs (there is no automatic detection).
The Free Space should be displayed. Can you attach a screen shot?
Thanks.

Worth noting, this screen cap was taken on a Windows 2003 Server system.

thanks.

On my XP machine, I do get the free space. The free space is obtained by
running some native code, so perhaps that native code does not work on all
windows versions.

I'm running Windows XP x64. This worked on 3.2M6.

I just went back to 3.1.2 which doesn't correctly calculate the disk space either. However, the Finish button is not greyed out due to 0 kb free disk space in 3.1.2 so I am able to complete the installation.

This is bug in RC1 that has been fixed in the latest builds. Let me find the number.
Comment 8 Philippe Ombredanne CLA 2006-04-21 13:48:51 EDT
Intersting that it shows up alos on Windows XP 64 though
Comment 9 Dejan Glozic CLA 2006-04-21 14:01:20 EDT
perhaps because the native code for computing available space is in a fragment that is filtered by os/ws/arch tupple.
