In higher products, we need control over what shows up in the profiling monitor by default. For example, monitors, hosts, etc. API is needed for this.
Defect requires design work that cannot be included into 3.2 i2. Since no products depend on this fix to be in 3.2 i2 I am moving the defect to 3.3
Per discussion with Harm, the defect should be discussed in the committers call and decided if it can be moved to 3.3. Moving defect back to 3.2 i2
retarget milestone based on Harm's approval on defect re-categorize.
Please note that since filters were replaced with layouts, the same applies to the layouts. It should actually be easier to implement this with layouts.
Changing priority to P1 per discussion with Eric and Curt
Moving to 4.2 per Eric's request
Changing 4.2 planning priority to P2 per Eric.
Setting target to future so it doesn't show up in the 4.2 feature query.
We would like to have a product level preference so we can enable the distributed layout in the profiling monitor by default. (Similar to how to the plugin_customization.ini file for setting the default perspective).
As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As such, TPTP is not delivering enhancements. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement is resolved as WONTFIX. For this enhancement to be considered, please re-open with an attached patch including the Description Document (see http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/process/development/description_documents.html), code (see http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/resources/TPTPDevGuide.htm), and test cases (see http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/process/TPTP_Testing_Strategy.html).
