Currently, the global action "Save All" is only enabled if more than one editor is dirty. For consistency reasons, it should be enabled as soon as there is at least one dirty editor. I almost always use "Save All" instead of "Save". In the special case that only one editor is open, I can't use "Save All" as I am used to.
That is how it's intended to work, but it's clearly broken. The following works: - Window > New Window - open a file - modify it but the following doesn't: - Window > New Window - open a file - shutdown/restart - modify it It seems that modifications to any editors restored from the previous session do not cause the Save action's enablement to change, even if more than one is dirtied. Workaround is to close all editors on startup (can choose "Close all editors on exit" in the Editors preference page). This is not ideal.
Isn't this a dupe of bug 67590?
