Description Jonathan Simpson CLA 2004-07-08 14:15:52 EDT
Date format only U.S. (M/D/Y). For German the format must be D/M/Y.

Build: 07072004
Blocking: NO
Language: DEU

1) Open the CVS Repository Exploring perspective
2) Add a CVS Repository
3) Create a new Date Tag
4) The Create Date Tag has an unlocalized date format

Several other testers besides DEU have noticed this problem.

There is another instance of a date dialog in the CVS history view. This won't
be fixed in the short term since SWT doesn't provide a nice date/time picker
that can be easily localized.

Jonathan, David, Cam,

Is this bug about the date picker on the dialog used to create the date tag or
the display of the date in the "CVS Repositories" view after it has been
created? It sounds like Jean-Michel is reading it as the former, but I read
it as the latter.

I agree that the dialog could not be changed now, but perhaps the display in
the view could be. Check bug 69628 for a similar problem for which a fix has
been found.
Comment 3 Jonathan Simpson CLA 2004-07-14 12:58:56 EDT
This bug concerns the date picking dialog. The date in the cvs repository view
appears to be localized correctly(D/M/Y).

In that case, this should probably be targeted for 3.1. Will we need to route
this to SWT first?
Comment 5 Markus Keller CLA 2006-01-01 13:23:59 EST
The SWT feature request for such a widget is bug 19945.
Comment 6 Michael Valenta CLA 2006-10-27 11:45:56 EDT
I believe that SWT is working on a DateTime widget. We should try it out once it becomes available.
