In Memory/Leak Analysis right pane, the “show instance level info” checkbox needs to have a description of which views it enables, at what cost of collection speed/size. Without this, I don’t know why to check it or not.
Propose to push this out of 3.2 due to resource limtation in 3.2 and retarget to - for now, this feature will be raised to the RG and get review there for the propose new target 3.3
Can we target for 4.1 for consideration of the requirements team? It would probably be a good idea to expand this enhancement into a rework of details/description of TPTP profiling types, including the checkbox for the instance level info.
Targeting for 4.1 sounds like a good idea. Expanding it to include presenting better descriptions of the profiling types would certainly be a welcome addition.
This option should be hidden under some advanced options and properly documented so that the user understand the cost of checking the option
Sureshbabu wrote: Thanks for the note. If we hide this optione under an Advanced area, Please make sure to add a WARNING saying that it could crash/hang the machine if we collect "More Objects". Plus we also need to give some guidelines on what do we mean by "More Objects". How does ordinary user know. Any creative thoughts would be appreciated here.
