The new Search View has a menu triangle on it, but when you click on it nothing happens. It has no local menu.
That is, until you invoke a search. Then there are some choices in the menu. Also frustrating is the fact that you cannot invoke the search dialog from the [new] search view. Which is why the user might look in the local view menu to try to find "Search.." action.
The triangle comes from the platform.
The triangle should only appear when items are added to the menu manager. It should also go away if all items are removed. It's necessary to call IActionBars.updateActionBars() after any additions or removals.
the items added are only separators and group markers; the triangle still show up.
I believe we show the view menu button if there are any contributions to the menu. Probably should determine whether there would be any visible ones. E.g. do the MenuManager update, then hide/show the button if the Menu is empty/non-empty.
