Display a working set in the Package explorer such that: -- AClosedProject + Some Java Project - Another Project, expanded | - A src folder | |-+ org.package1 | --+ org,package2 + A third Java project Now, change the filter such that closed projects are filtered. The "src" folder gets collapsed for no reason. It should remain in its expanded state. The same test can be performed with the "Another Project, expanded" project in its collapsed state. After changing the filter, if you re-expand that project, the src folder should be expanded too because windows remembers this kind of state. Instead it is collapsed. The same bug occurs when removing the closed-projects filter.
This bug may also affect the "New..." Dialog. If you expand "Java", don't see what you are looking for, and then select "Show all Wizards", Java is collapsed and you have to re-expand.
Yet another expansion state bug. 1) Display incoming changes by commit sets. 2) Expand the first commit set, preferably with changes affecting multiple projects. 3) Select the changes for the first project and choose "Update" action. The entire remaining tree gets expanded 2 or 3 levels deep (not all items are expanded, it seems that the first child of each treeitem is expanded). Collapse all of the treeitems and repeat for every incoming change.
Marking as a duplicate of 113675 because the newer bug has more information about what causes this. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 113675 ***
