This plugin will count various metrics on the existing plugins.

No clue what you are talking about, but plugins are understood by PDE.

There are already existing plugins that proposes various metrics.
It is then up to you to select the proper code to get the numbers you need.

There are optional downloads from the Platform/Core team's page that will give 
you such metrics.
