In previous versions if I pressed Alt+Shift+R in Java source editor, a refactor rename dialog popped out. Now I only get Run menu dropdown triggered. The workspace and configuration is the same. Tried to switch to 4.13.1 with the same workspace and it's working. Switching back to 4.14.0 and it's not working although all key mappings are the same.
Sorry that I forgot to mention - Eclipse STS is the IDE - STS versions 4.13.1 and 4.14.0
STS - spring tool suite I have tested this in 4.23 and it works for me. We do not support 4.14 you have to upgrade to 4.23. We do not support STS, it is not our product. If you want support for it then please try here: https://spring.io/support
@Wim Jongman Eclipse version is 4.23 and STS edition based on Eclipse is 4.14 You'll see, it's not STS bug, there will be more reports from others. So far there is one more not linked to STS and it has the same behavour.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 579168 ***
Eclipse Version: 2022-09 (4.25.0) / Build id: 20220908-1902 downloaded from https://eclipse.org/downloads/ on 2022-09-20 as file eclipse-java-2022-09-R-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz I see the same behaviour: the old rename shortcut no longer works and the menu item (for instance, right-click on identifier | "Refactor" | "Rename") has no shortcut listed. However, by selecting the menu sequence above, the renaming IS consistently and correctly performed so, at least at first sight, this bug does not seem a duplicate of other bug listed above (579168).
