Stacktrace during activation of the securitymanager

Note: we are using MariaDB 10.2.6 (equivalent to MySQL 5.7).

This problem was introduced somehwere between R20170614-0227 and R20180613-0111.
During activation of the security manager, we get the attached exception (created with an integration build from february 2020).
