Description Nour AL KOTOB CLA 2019-09-17 02:07:56 EDT
Take a fresh eclipse not customed at all.
Scroll through a file in the text editor repeatedly (on the very same lines of the same file). Ram consumption keeps on expanding like crazy (like 150 to 200 mb every 1000 lignes scrolled).

Take the same workspace with eclipse 4.11 Memory consumption stays stable on scrolling through files.

I can go from 1 gb ram to 8 in a matter of minutes.

This could be bug 549779 which is fixed in Eclipse 4.13 (=2019‑09)
Can you please try with that?

Please reopen if problem still happens with 4.13 or newer.
