The CachedCheckboxTreeViewer used i.a. in target definition dialog has an unexpected behavior when changing the checked state of a group with filtered children.

Changing the state of an element also sets all of its children to the same checked state even if they are currently invisible (see attached screenshots).

I would expect that toggling a group does not affect filtered children. The Plug-in tree from launch configuration dialog behaves like that.

Julian, I believe there is or was  a bug already for a very similar issue, for the launch configurations dialog, where one also can select bundles etc. Could you please check that and link them together?

I only found Bug 520721, but that's probably not the one you meant.

No, those issues are unrelated to this filtering issue.
