Description Olivier Prouvost CLA 2018-10-05 11:40:47 EDT
As with High Sierra, the window builder display is upside down with Mojave.

See the similar bug (#526091) for High Sierra.

Should also test on Mojave (may be the test in the code is only for High Sierra and not for following versions...).

Just in case, below is a quote from the Bug 538377, which, hopefully allows to test the patch for upside down problem:

Could a committer accept this patch please ?
Comment 8 Michael Golubev CLA 2018-10-11 08:49:34 EDT
Thanks, @Olivier Prouvost, for the patch, it should be fixed for Mojave now.

As discussed in Gerrit, the problem will probably reappear with Mojave+1, so the issue is still waiting for a bit more general fix with less specific version detection.

is there a nightly build so that we can give this a try?

Yes.
Comment 12 Olivier Prouvost CLA 2018-10-11 15:25:05 EDT
You can build it on your own :

git clone git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/windowbuilder/org.eclipse.windowbuilder.git
cd org.eclipse.windowbuilder
mvn clean install

You will get the zipped update site in org.eclipse.wb.releng.updatesite/target

Not needed. We have freshly baked code.

Hey guys,
I've got the latest build and still have this issue, is there any specific file I need to use to resolve my issue?
Comment 16 Olivier Prouvost CLA 2018-10-26 17:24:41 EDT
Hi !
Yes the bug is definitively fixed for High Sierra and Mojave, but unfortunately I do not have the rights to update the market place for this project...

I tried to intall it from the market place and it is not fixed... but it is ok if you use the local build.

So if you want to install it asap, you should clone the project and build it (see comment #12), and then install the local repository built...

I will check if there is a but to update the market place (that was the same problem for High Sierra...).

Sorry about that.

Sorry I was not precise enough. I have some constraint, I must use Eclipse 2019-06.
With SWT Designer 1.9.2 (from https://download.eclipse.org/releases/2020-06) installed in Eclipse 2019-06, the problem was still there with MacOS Catalina (10.15).
With SWT Designer 1.9.3 (from http://download.eclipse.org/windowbuilder/latest/
) the problem is fixed.

Thank you!
