Created attachment 275359 [details] Contains figures referenced in the bug description. When selecting a file like a .yml file (see Figure 1 in the attachment), Eclipse displays a dialog suggesting that "better editor support" can be obtained through the marketplace. If the user clicks on "OK" then the failure dialog shown in Figure 2 appears. Though the attachment shows the behavior when editing a .yml file, this happens when editing any other file type that can be edited using uninstalled plugins. Exact version information is below: Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers. Version: Photon Release (4.8.0) Build id: 20180619-1200 OS: Windows 10, v.10.0, x86_64 / win32 Java version: 1.8.0_131
Moving to MPC, since this concerns installation from the market place. From the screenshot it seems that s.t. isn't happy about installing into a path with blanks. Could this be a p2 issue?
