Through some sequence of events which still elude me, it is possible to get the 
editor drop-down list to stay open -- even after selecting an item.  Switching 
desktops leaves the drop-down visible (overlaid on top of everything).  The 
drop-down can eventually be fixed by dragging editors around and repeatedly 
clicking title bars.  Again, I'm not quite clear on the steps. 
 
So basically, a non-reproducible bug that has happened to me before, and seems 
to keep happening about once a week (for the past couple of weeks).
