Rt click on the project folder -> comapr with -> head revision -> in Synchronize view the text color of file names will be black and hard to read.

Please try this with EGit 4.11 or EGit nightly. There was a fix for such a problem in bug 531527; it may (or may not) also have an effect on the synchronize view.
