I can't produce a reliable use case here, but sometimes you are able to move a view to another workbench area, and sometimes you are not. I created a video showing the problem.

Do you have hidpi resolution and zoom > 125%? If yes, this is most likely SWT drag and drop issue, I've seen something similar was just fixed in 4.8, but I'm not sure if this was also Windows or only Linux issue.

I guess the answer is: it's complicated. My main monitor is a 4k monitor which I run at half resolution, and I'm experiencing this on a second monitor at normal resolution. Although I tried just now and I am experiencing this on both monitors.

Paul, can you please try with latest 4.8 nightly build?

I'm just guessing that the changes for bug 529327 done in GTK part could be also needed here for Windows (I haven't looked into the code yet).

An integration build, or would a milestone build do?

Now that I've seen the fix for bug 529327 was for GTK only, it probably doesn't matter, but if you still want to try, please use latest I build.

OK, tried the 2/18 Integration build, and did *NOT* see any of the view moving issues. I don't know if it's the fix you mentioned, but some fix has done something.

ok, let assume it was fixed.

Yep, thanks. Although it is not technically fixed in 4.7. (I suppose there won't be further fixes in 4.7?)
