In which editor? Please try with http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/R-4.7.1a-201710090410/ . 4.4 is no longer supported.
I met the same problem,and my eclipse version is 4.6.2.It crashes everytimes, when I cut or remove a lot of code.
