I discovered the old PDE Picasso incubator project. https://wiki.eclipse.org/PDE/Incubator/Picasso Very nice for visualization of your widgets. I suggest to add to the PDE layout the option to color code the widgets. Also tooltips for their properties would be very nice.

The colors don't seem to go away after you deselect the coloring option, and the tooltip's format should probably make use of the same GridDataFactory format that is used by the layout spy itself.
(In reply to Stefan Xenos from comment #4) > The colors don't seem to go away after you deselect the coloring option, and > the tooltip's format should probably make use of the same GridDataFactory > format that is used by the layout spy itself. Opened Bug 516308 for the deselection of the coloring options. As for the tooltip format I do not have plans to work on this. If that is important to you, please create another bug report.
