In prior versions of Eclipse, one was able to right-click on any directory in the Search results pane and see context menu options to "Expand Selected" and "Expand All". It appears that in 4.6, these options were removed. The removal of "Expand All" isn't too problematic, because the same option exists in the Search panel toolbar (the square with a "+" symbol), but I can't find any alternative to the "Expand Selected" context menu option. Was this removal intentional, or some sort of regression? I use this option frequently and would really like to see it restored. Thank you!

This is not a duplicate of ticket #477471. This may be considered a duplicate of ticket #503155.
(In reply to Filipus Klutiero from comment #2) > This is not a duplicate of ticket #477471. > This may be considered a duplicate of ticket #503155. Thanks. Yes, bug 477471 explains why it was removed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 503155 ***
Thanks for having a look, Dani and Filipus. Dani, unless I'm missing something, https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=477471 doesn't explain why "Expand Selected" was removed; it explains why "Expand All" was removed. In fact, that issue doesn't even mention the phrase "Expand Selected". Essentially, my content is that the "Expand All" and "Expand Selected" actions are not the same, and the latter should not be lumped under the former. Furthermore, I don't see how this issue is a duplicate of https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=503155 , which, again, does not mention "Expand Selected" at all; it refers only to "Expand All". Basically, it seems that a very useful option was removed with no equivalent replacement added.
