+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #506772 +++

Once Bug 506772 is fixed, the "Ignore optional compile problems" flag could be removed. Gerrit review on its way.

Removing this will introduce 400+ warnings in the workspace for the felix/ folder.  We could open jiras to fix some of them in felix, but many of them are not going to be accepted (like missing //$NON-NLS comments).
