Description nate bensimon CLA 2004-01-16 20:11:21 EST
Ecplise was running when I had a power failure and now it won't startup again.
the message I get is to check the .log file for possible reasons why...I have
attached the .log file. Thank-G-d I had my work backed up...and I then even re-
installed eclipse by downloading the most recent version, but I still get the
same error even though I had no workspace dir to begin with after the re-
install.

What's up?

The power failure should have anything to do with the problem you are facing.
Are you sure you are starting Eclipse with the same JRE as before?

The stacktrace you reported is normally related to having Xerces in the boot
classpath while running Eclipse 2.*. This limitation has been removed in the
latest 3.0 milestone builds. See bug 19252 for more info.
