Created attachment 263585 [details] Double-border issue on Ubuntu 16.04 This is the bug for double-border issue that appears in form-based UIs on Ubuntu 16.04. It was initially reported in Bug 493724. See attached screenshot for comparison between Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 16.04 styling. This bug was initially reported for Eclipse 4.6 and should be ideally fixed in Eclipse 4.6.1. This bug is also currently present in Eclipse 4.7 M1 and can be seen as part of the "New default styling for form-based user interfaces" section in 4.7M1's New and Noteworthy page: https://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/news/4.7/M1/
Created attachment 263586 [details] No double-border issue on Ubuntu 14.04 Note that the selection issue was fixed in Bug 493724.
Moving to SWT for investigation.
Peter, is this GTK3 & Ubuntu only issue? If not, please add more details on which platforms it can be reproduced.

Yes, it looks like a GTK3 & Ubuntu 16.04 only issue. I cannot reproduce the issue with GTK2 (SWT_GTK3=0).
