Description Patrik Suzzi CLA 2016-05-17 11:24:46 EDT
Project Explorer issue in Ubuntu Linux
The keyboard navigation with left(collapse) / right (expand) is not working.

Version: Neon (4.6) RC1
Build id: I20160512-1000

Note:
I compared the behavior of Project Explorer in Windows and Linux (Ubuntu)
- left/right does not work in Linux, but works in Windows.
- up/down works both in Linux and Windows
Comment 1 Patrik Suzzi CLA 2016-05-17 11:27:24 EDT
Note: I observed the same behavior for Package Explorer
Comment 2 Andrey Loskutov CLA 2016-05-17 12:50:56 EDT
This is most likely SWT (tree) specific issue.
Comment 3 Arun Thondapu CLA 2016-05-18 07:17:12 EDT
This is expected default platform behaviour on GTK+ and not a bug in SWT/Eclipse.

Please use [Shift + Left] and [Shift + Right] to navigate the tree items via the keyboard on Linux (GTK+).

However, it is possible to configure GTK+ to allow navigating trees by using the left and right arrow keys alone, please refer to [1] for detailed instructions.
