Currently, Buildship uses a bright green 'G'. It would be nice if it could follow the Eclipse convention [1], i.e., a folder with a "new" 'star' in the upper right and a small 'G' in the upper left (cf. New > Java > Java Project and New > Maven > Maven Project). [1] <wiki.eclipse.org/User_Interface_Guidelines>
Makes sense, thanks for the report. We might get to this, but seems like a nice candidate for contribution as well. I set the helpwanted flag on the bug.
Let's do this as part of the icon overhaul we planned for 2.0
(In reply to Stefan Oehme from comment #2) > Let's do this as part of the icon overhaul we planned for 2.0 Currently testing the Oxygen M3 Java EPP package, unfortunately still with Buildship 1.0.21. Given that 2.0.0 is supposed to be out soon [1], it would have been nice to be able to test a milestone with M3 already. [1] <http://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.buildship/releases/2.0.0>
Donát, can you publish a milestone and make it part of Oxygen? We should also update the forum thread to let users know that there is something new to try out.
First I'd like to have my latest UI enhancements added and then I'll publish that milestone and publicise it, if that's ok.
