Preferences dialog with missing checkboxes/radiobuttons

This is on Kubuntu 15.4, KDE Plasma 5.4.2, GTK3 Theme Orion:
Unchecked checkboxes and non-selected radiobuttons are invisible in all eclipse dialogs when using GTK3. Everything is fine when using GTK2, instead.

Same here.

Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 with default theme.
"Validation" tab on preferences menu is totally unusable on GTK3.
Comment 2 John Cecere CLA 2016-05-09 16:44:35 EDT
Having the same issue with KDE 4.14.8. Makes Eclipse MARS.2 virtually unusable
Comment 3 Michal Rehak CLA 2016-06-18 15:34:50 EDT
Same problem with Neon RC3 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, making it unusable with GTK3.

Not sure I understand this issue correctly but IMO this is a major regression and should be a blocker for Neon release otherwise all users with GTK3 are given a broken software.

Or at least Neon should default to GTK2, otherwise every user needs to figure out on their own that he need to switch to GTK2 somehow.

What do you think?

Here is what appears to be the same issue in Firefox that was fixed recently:

Bug 1262136 - With GTK 3.20 default theme, checkbox and radio on web pages are invisible unless checked

Is this still reproducible?
Comment 6 Lutz Wrage CLA 2017-12-18 08:47:58 EST
I don't use the Orion theme any longer.
