Ant support is getting there! Pretty cool! BUT... I have a build.xml which is 1007 lines and it takes b/w 4 and 5 seconds to save to disk. I would be nice to improve performance in this area. FWIW, my machine specs are: Item Value OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 Build 2600 OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Manufacturer IBM System Model 2652M3U System Type X86-based PC Processor x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~1798 Mhz BIOS Version/Date IBM 1GET32WW (1.04 ), 8/23/2002 SMBIOS Version 2.31 Windows Directory C:\WINDOWS System Directory C:\WINDOWS\System32 Boot Device \Device\HarddiskVolume1 Locale United States Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "5.1.2600.1106 (xpsp1.020828-1920)" Time Zone Pacific Standard Time Total Physical Memory 1,024.00 MB Available Physical Memory 578.71 MB Total Virtual Memory 1.90 GB Available Virtual Memory 1.15 GB Page File Space 925.82 MB
I forgot: Version 3.0.m4.
Moving to Platform/Ant.
We will be doing more performance passes in M9 but this should be greately improved from when this bug was filed.
Gary are you still seeing problems in this area?
Using version 3.0.m8 seems much faster, 1 or 2 seconds, definitevely acceptable. The build file is ~now 2700 lines. Thank you.
That is one biiiiiggg build file! Glad the speed is working for you Going to mark this as worksforme as cannot reproduce any significant problems either (but my test case is only 1700 lines :-) )
