Created attachment 253105 [details] Screenshot showing the problem See attached screenshot. This is on Eclipse 4.5 build N20150425-1500 The list of files shows the icons but not the file names. It doesn't look like a white over white text color problem as selecting a file does not reveal the text. The focus rectangle around the text changes depending on the name of the file, and looks about the right size, so it doesn't look like a font size problem. I'm using the kcm_gtk module, and have tried multiple GTK 3 themes and with no change on that issue. Also selecting a non-GTK theme or a different color paletter from the Eclipse appearance configuration does not appear to affect this issue. The system is Kubuntu 15.04. Running the same build on Fedora under GNOME Shell looks to be working fine.
Same situation with Ubuntu 15.04 (Unity). EGIT 4.0.0.201505191015-rc1
Looks like a dup of bug 466499. You can workaround via exporting SWT_GTK3=0 before starting Eclipse. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 466499 ***
