The "classic" IP Log generator uses Dash data. Specifically, Dash data is used to determine whether or not committers are active. Is this distinction significant? Is there any real need to list official project committers as active vs. inactive. The new PMI-based IP Log generator (which hasn't been rolled out yet) uses a different means of determining committer activity and so will not be affected by the loss of Dash. It's worth noting that the PMI-based IP Log generator does not take SVN or CVS repositories into account and there are no plans to extend it. At this point, the Subversive project uses SVN, so we need to sort out a means of managing that. The loss of Dash data will only impact the list of active committers; perhaps we can just assume that all Subversive committers are active (pending the response to the above question.

(In reply to Wayne Beaton from comment #0) > The "classic" IP Log generator uses Dash data. We shut down the "classic" IP Log generator last year. The new IP Log generator does not use data generated by technology.dash.dashboard. > Specifically, Dash data is used to determine whether or not committers are > active. We decided the active/inactive state of committers isn't relevant and so it is no longer tracked. > It's worth noting that the PMI-based IP Log generator does not take SVN or > CVS repositories into account and there are no plans to extend it. The new IP Log generator works fine for SVN-based projects. #littleVictories
