UI to add a favourite

Eclipse Standard/SDK

Version: Luna Release (4.4.0)
Build id: 20140612-0600
Fedora 20 x86_64

If I click the favourite icon, a small window appears. As soon as I try to hover over the Continue button, the window disappears. If I'm fast enough, I can click the icon and position the mouse to where the window will be drawn, it works. But I'm not a ninja.

Dang, it seems like our automatic ninja detection has a bug - this feature should only be active for ninjas ;) Okay, seriously, I'll investigate, thanks. I was sure I had this fixed sometime around Kepler SR2... Last time it was caused by strange mouse events that only occured with Linux and GTK.

Out of curiosity: Is this with GTK2 or 3?

It turns out I "fixed" a similar problem with another tooltip-style popup in bug 423908. The problem is the same, the tooltip's close listener is triggered erroneously under GTK. I've raised bug 458079 for the JFace/SWT issue and applied the same workaround as in the other case: opening the popup under the cursor.

The workaround is in http://git.eclipse.org/c/mpc/org.eclipse.epp.mpc.git/commit/?id=07c6d64daa21cbd8dd02aa9f8d17f847e25905d3 and will be in the upcoming Luna SR1 RC and the next Mars builds.

This fix has been released in Luna SR2 and Mars.
