Disclaimer: Maybe I just don't know how to use the Display view properly, in which case I apologize in advance for wasting everybody's time. It seems that you can't perform the Display action in the view unless you select the full expression and select 'Display' from the context menu or from the toolbar menu. I would expect that pressing Enter at the end of the line should automatically invoke the Display action on the expression I just typed. Having to select the full line, which can be potentially be long, is too much. Another thing I tried was to double-click on the line hoping that it would highlight the entire expression (much like when you double-click on the URL in the address bar of a browser). But double-clicking on the expression in the Display view selects a segment of the expression which is useless.
The display view accepts code snippets - i.e. more than one line, containing one or more statements. Thus, selecting one line may/may not be the correct action. Only the user knows how much code to execute.
We could add a double-click feature to select the current line.
