Description Curtis Windatt CLA 2014-11-28 14:13:44 EST
Bug 449240 added support for 'html' and 'delegatedUI' hover types.

1) The 'html' type is satisfactory as is, but we need to finalize the API for 8.0. The wiki page should also list the optional height/width settings.

2) Investigate allowing plug-ins to contribute to the hover their own iframe. This would allow them to interact with services when rendering the content (query the JS AST for example). It would also allow rendered buttons and links to do far more than the existing 'delegatedUI' can do.

3) The 'delegatedUI' type should be removed for 8.0 if the investigation (2) leads to something more robust.

Moving all open bugs with 8.0 target to next release. Please update or close if this is not correct.
