I recently added a new flag to the "index generator" to force it not to display "missing files", since as we currently do things, there are scores of them for the "performance unit tests" even though nearly none of them are "valid". This was thought to be a good temporary improvement, until we get a better solution, I thought best to not display any, rather than display scores of "junk ones". 

BUT, it just occurred to me, it would be best to put a small reminder where they normally would go, that would say something like: 

Note: on this page, as a temporary fix, missing files (results) are not displayed here, even if there are some valid missing files (results). See bug xxxx. 

I think to "do it right" will be a weeks worth of effort, so may not occur this milestone.
